Devlog — Diamond Trophy Fixes and Quality of Life

You can now join through a second IP, play.reimaginedcraft.net, on top of the usual one.

Diamond Trophy: the ladder in the boss room is fixed, and the boss got bigger hitboxes because the old ones just didn't register properly. Knights are more balanced now. New materials and chests are in, including chests at the end of Diamond Trophy. The materials will be used for cosmetics soon.

Parties and social: with Media or Champion rank you can now party up with up to 20 people. Remi finally shows whether the server is online, the votekick command is fixed, and you can see last seen on your friends list. Plus the usual round of bug fixes.

Devlog — Diamond Trophy Is Playable

For the past 4 months I've been recreating Golden Trophy from Rec Room, and it's finally come together as a playable version that works. Since the last devlog a lot changed, mostly in server economy, looks, readability, and game optimization.

Here's what's new in Diamond Trophy:

• The dorm room now looks almost 1:1 with the in-game version, including a fully physics based ball you can mess around with • A boulder in act 3 that you can push around. Super fun, but it leans heavily on player ping • Diamond Trophy and ReimaginedCraft leveling now work together on the server • The coins and XP system is working • A daily chest in the hub, which also gives DT score

Thanks for sticking around through this. Release is coming very soon, so keep an eye on announcements.

A ReimaginedCraft Sign in the Sand

A little something from the trip: a ReimaginedCraft sign drawn in the sand. Back home now, and back to work.

Devlog — Bug Squashing (Again)

So I was gone from the 1st to the 16th and barely touched the server, but honestly you guys carried. Over 30 bug reports came in while I was away and I've already fixed about 90% of them. The game just feels a lot better to play now.

Quick rundown of what got fixed:

• Imps, goblins and knights are all balanced now • NPCs work again • Item tips actually update • Projectile based events work • The shield stopped breaking in those weird edge cases • Actionbar messages are way clearer now • Item placement and spawning got sorted • The boss is fully working • Lava kills you now (it just... didn't before) • Enemies not spawning in some spots is fixed

Plus a ton of smaller stuff across Diamond Trophy and the Hub. Still chipping away at the last few reports, then it's back to the sprint.

Devlog — Bug Fixes

Quick update on the bugs found during the Diamond Trophy closed beta. A bunch got squashed already:

• Lava wasn't killing you • Enemies sometimes not spawning, causing a softlock • Formatting codes showing up in skin text when buying • Barrel access removed (it was ruining solo runs mid-fight)

A partial fix also went out for banner display, coins not showing in the shop, and the armory hologram not displaying. Thanks to everyone who applied to be a beta tester. The reports coming in have already made the game way more stable.

Devlog — Diamond Trophy Beta Incoming

Diamond Trophy is getting its finishing touches before the closed beta, and then an open beta after that. Heads up: there will probably be a lot of bugs early on, so keep an eye on announcements.

Since the last devlog I've mostly been fixing bugs, including party and friends switching rooms. I finished all the acts and placed all the goblins and imps, added skins and the bag, plus advancements for things like killing 100 goblins or beating the game.

For anyone interested in stuff outside Diamond Trophy: the hub is almost completely finished. The GUIs for parkour, the PvP minigames counter, and the gamemodes menu are in, and I'd be really happy to hear you rate or criticize them. The profile page works now too, with friends, stats, advancements, and later even tags. The rest I won't spoil.

My progress is going to slow down because of an unexpected trip from July 1 to 16, but I'll still work on bug fixes from my laptop while I'm away. Thanks for understanding, and thanks for being part of this. More info and development coming from my streams on Twitch.

Devlog — Diamond Trophy Release Prep

It's been a while! Since last time a lot of you showed up, and I want to say thank you so much for the support. I didn't expect this many of you. Most of you are here for Diamond Trophy, but I see some of you are interested in my other gamemodes too.

Here's what I built during those days: goblins and imps are working, including their elite variants. The dormroom is fully decorated, and music is working too (the soundtrack is releasing on the ReimaginedCraft channel). The friend and party system is now working, with a fully functional GUI and sound design. Private and public instances are handled like in Rec Room, the item pickup system is in, and the inventory works the way I wanted: one slot plus backpack switching when you click "1", and your watch is always with you.

I also balanced some gameplay mechanics. While dashing you can't take damage for 0.5 seconds, and after hitting you can't take damage for 0.7 seconds. These changes exist because you're one-shot like in Rec Room. Enemies can also be stunned, and they can't deal damage while stunned. The scoreboard is fully functional, tooltips show in the right corner of the screen, switching between rooms works, and your party can follow you. Models are made for everything.

Remi bot update: the ticket system and anti-harassment system are working. Channel creation works, /profile and commands work, and /rank works too. Once ReimaginedCraft is out of maintenance, /link will work as well. Thanks for being with us, and thank you for waiting.

Devlog — ForceRender Mod

Released a small client-side Fabric mod called ForceRender. It fixes a vanilla culling bug where armor stands and item frames disappear at the edge of your screen, because Minecraft checks the hitbox rather than the actual model size. This was causing huge custom decorations from ItemsAdder to just vanish mid-screen. Available now on Modrinth.

Devlog — Summer Update

Hello everyone. Summer's coming up, and I wanted to share where things stand. It may look like I've been quiet, but I've been putting time into the server whenever I could — getting better at drawing, pixel art, 3D modeling, and game design. The vision has grown a lot.

I've also been building out the website and the lobby islands for ReimaginedCraft. More game modes are on the way — and as a small teaser: Elevator Chaos. Interpret that however you want. ^^
